Done being a Florida landlord

Done being a Florida landlord

I used to be very into the real estate game.

I loved looking at Zillow and asking around if there were properties for sale in Florida.

I was on the hunt and loved acquiring new places. When I retired from my job, being a landlord was really great, until it wasn’t. As I got older it was tough to handle all the aspects of the job. I had a lot of properties and mowing the lawn, doing repairs, and dealing with tenants was a nightmare. I thought about hiring a property manager but it seemed like a lot of work and I would lose a ton of money. Instead I started looking at selling my Florida properties to a real estate company. I tried listing them and the buyers weren’t serious. I also had too many and it would have taken a long time. So I found a Florida home buyer that buys homes fast for cash. Doing cash for Florida rental properties was a smart idea. I didn’t need to lift a finger. I also was able to sell my Jax rental properties with renters in them. I didn’t need to make repairs, evict people, or even clean the places. I just signed the papers over and got the money. I now have a great nest egg for a rainy day. I don’t have any pressing work concerns and can just be retried. My wife is thrilled that I have finally given up all my rentals. It was a stressful situation for quite a bit.
