Sold my condo through a house buyer since I was unwilling to renovate

My partner and I have been looking to update our house for a long time.

My pal and I consistently were touring houses, looking at zillow and asking around on who was selling. My pal and I finally found our dream condo and made a deal. Then came the issue of selling our new home. I started out working with a real estate agent but the guy was firm that I needed to redo the roof in order to sell it. I was already planning to buy a new roof for the house I was moving into. I didn’t want to put another roof on my credit card. I didn’t want to worry about hiring roofers, picking out materials, supervising them, and then paying for it. No way was I going to do another roof. So I told the guy no and decided on a money offer. These people deal with all the nitty gritty things like renovations, clean up and staging, and you do not get as great of a price when you do a money offer vs listing, but the time and energy saved is more than worth it, rather than spending months with an agent and buyer, I only spent one day. There was no haggling or stress. It was a quick, in and out procedure. I then was able to labor out on a date so my partner and I could stay in the aged condo before moving into the new one. My pal and I only had to sit here an extra week before removing into the new arena. It was cost-effective, fast, and worked perfect for our case.
